4 IN 1 BUCKET OR NOT

I REALLY like the 4-in-1s abilities when it comes to grabbing dirt and rocks
off a level surface. I know of no other implement that can do this job this
well.

Every time I try this I get a bucket full of air and not much else. Must be operator error.

Yes, it certainly takes practice. Dave, your 110TLB has lots of hyd flow
and I do not know how your front AUX hydraulics are plumbed, but I have
found that my solenoid valve parallel set-up works WAY better than the
mechanical spool valve used on my old B21. That valve was plumbed to
the power beyond port of the FEL valve.

Since the clam shell action and the bucket curl action have to be
simultaneous for dirt-grabbing to work well, equal flow and pressure must
be seen by both pairs of cylinders. Note that the FEL boom has to be in
FLOAT at the same time, as the closing action of the bucket pushes up on
the boom. Keep practicing!

This is the first time I have seen the float advice, and now I understand how it works, and will try again. Thank you.
