So...I got to surfin TBN today at work, looking at power beyond, TnT setups, etc... Not saying I'm gonna do it this week, but I'm thinking about adding the PB kit to my 3520...hand in hand with that, I want to allow myself the ability to splice in another valve bank. Its a cabbed machine so none of the beautiful valve brackets & setups will work, so I'm thinking of using Solenoid powered valves...no oil lines in the cab...
Doable? Anybody have pics or diagrams of valve banks added into a PB on a 3x20 machine? Seems like all the threads i've found were on Kubota's or 2x20 machines....all were wonderful jobs but I just want to make sure i'm on the right track...

If I remember right I belive JD has a electric setup that uses the control off the 110TLB to control the electric valves. How many remotes are you going to add?

I was thinking about adding 2 more remotes (already got the 3rd SCV Kit installed)..What I'd like to do in a perfect world would be to make one circuit dedicated to a FEL 3rd Function, and the 2nd circuit go out back alongside my current one.

I find it stupid JD doesnt offer more then 1 "Real SCV", I can think of a multitude of implements which would require/work better with 2+ remotes. Real world example right now for me....Snowblower, with one SCV I can only do Chute rotation.....Not saying I want/need it, but what if I wanted to add a hydraulic Chute deflector? on a 30k tractor, I wouldnt expect I would need to "fabricte" and rig up hydraulics. Heck my Dad's 12+ year old L2900 has 2 factory remotes on it and he can add a 3rd real easy.

Sorry but the "diverter kit" is a joke and not a real solution. to me the FEL needs to be operable ALL THE TIME without flicking a switch.

Not everyone can operate two functions on a rear snowblower while lifting and curling the loader on the front at the same time. The diverter works for me. I may look into the 110 joystick mod instead of the current rocker switch if I get to needing something new in the future. JC

For its intended use to control the top and tilt cylinders it works fine. I thought the same thing as you, but after using it for about 8 months with the top and tilt kit - I find I'm never trying to control the top or tilt cylinders simultaneously with the bucket. There's no reason to do that.

In use, you're setting the top link length or the tilt angle - and then using the rear implement. I also use it with my Harley rake by connecting the rake's angle cylinder lines to the tilt output as the Harley rake use is not dependent upon hitch tilt - but does use different top link lengths for different applications. So, for that use, I set the rake tilt as level, unplug the tilt cylinder and connect the angle adjustment lines from the rake to the tilt cylinder circuit.

I have the Diverter valves on my 3720 and they work pretty well. I also have power beyond so it looks like a hose factory back there.

I frequently have the loader on the front (it's always on) and a Stump grinder that requires two circuits on the back. I hook it up to the diverter. It's a simple flick to switch the dual scv between the front and rear, no problem at all. When I don't have the grinder on I hook up the MMM mower lift to the curl circuit on the rear instead of the 3rd Which I use for the grapple on the bucket.

I suppose if you were using things all day it would be a pain but I don't mind it.

I guess my biggest peeve with the diverter is financial..for 1,200 bucks, you would think they could sell you a kit with "Real" SCV's. For 1,200 bucks I think a guy could easily get the factory Deere PB Kit, a nice Electric Solenoid Valve Bank, some misc. plumbing and some nicely fabbed up or modified factory brackets and almost make it look like a factory install. Seriously if I could find some nice looking switches to fit the factory Deere dash switch holes I think I could pull it off.

For 1,200 bucks you probably could almost replace the factory 3 spool factory SCV Valve with a 4/5 spool unit and then just with a few cables (for the cabbed machines) and some low profile/smaller levers have some REAL SCV's....

I guess I'd have to really try the diverter, I'm just scared that I forget it in one postion and need the loader for some quick action (ie to prevent a rollover or something like that) and its on the rear circuit....

You can - the Deere rocker switches are available through parts (I don't have the part numbers). You should be able to order the diverter kit rocker switch as a separate item.

The diverter switch that comes with the kit has a light that is illuminated when the diverter is switched to the rear so you have a visual indicator that it is on.

I ordered two additional light switches for the light kits I put on my 3320 - I think they were about $15 each. I'd assume the diverter switch will be more expensive as it is illuminated. But, I paid $12 for an illuminated weatherproof rocker switch at Radio Shack for another project - I'm sure you could use one of those.

What you propose sounds like a great project! Two solenoid valve could be ganged together...My wheels are turning:D

I think the big problem is going to be real estate though, the two valves, plus the subplate and fittings is going to take up a lot of room then you need all those hoses!

From an economic standpoint, I also don't think you'd be very far ahead over the JD diverter setup.

Another option you should consider is to put a electric diverter on your 3rd remote...That will leave your FEL active all the time, and add more remotes with the "factory" look. Surplus Center has a couple that I can't seen to find right now (I am also away from home for a couple days so I don't have all my "stuff" with me) that could work well...

Yeah I know they are available thru parts...what I was looking for was a switch with the "universal pic" of a Cylinder Extended & Retracted...like the sticker for the 3rd SCV...

What I was thinking was to run just the supply/return lines to the valve bank which would be mounted out back. Basically mount the couplers directly to the bank...of course if I could find place to hide it, I would...

No, your right, BUT, I'd have real SCV's...not to mention I'd have it easy if I wanted to add a 3rd or 4th Spool. If for 1,200 bucks JD would have real valves out back, I'd already have the kit ordered & installed...

At this point in time, that is my current game plan....actually was gonna use the switches Swines was talking about and making a little "control box" so I could make the whole thing removable.
