3rd valve hydraulic control

I just purchased a Ford 260C Industrial tractor and it has a 744 Loader on it
It has a outlet in the back(and yes I CAN use it, but don't want to)

I would like to some how plumb a 3rd valve to the bucket for my newly purchased grapple bucket and future power angle snow plow.

Now here is where I am in over my head....
I would like to control that 3ed valve with a "switch". Whether a push button, roller or toggle. And also mount it on the loader joystick so it is more user friendly than the 3rd valve under the seat
I guess what I am looking for is switch kinda like a pilot control on a skid steer.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Do you want a selector valve that will use the curl circuit to control the grapple by using a switch.

True 3rd function valve.

12 VDC 10 GPM OC DA SOLENOID VALVE

You need one of these to mount the solenoid on.

1 STATION DO3 SUBPLATE OPEN CENTER

You would connect this valve assembly after the loader valve using the PB port and the OUT port of the solenoid valve will go on back to the remote or 3pt.

I would use a water proof switch in a factory handle or make your own.

A boat place would have the switches.

My current joystick has a "disconnect" switch already to disengage the transmission, so you can throttle up to move the loader faster but not move the machine.
I figured the trigger would be perfect for that and the push buttons could control the 3rd valve

Good idea?

Ok. Back at this. Does anyone have a "schematic" as to where to tie into the loader hydraulics? Ford 260C w/ 744 loader.

Also, I am pretty sure I want to go with one of these controllers(S or C with the trigger and a roller switch and 2 momentary switches)

Do you have a PB line or a hyd block?

If so, add your solenoid valve in series with the PB flow.

If you don't have a manual, then you have to start with the pump and follow the hoses and draw out what you have.

Anyway, if you have external hoses from the pump, you can add valves in series with the hyd flow.

I am not sure what you mean by your statement.

A 3rd function valve can be added anywhere in series with the flow. If it is the first valve in line, it must have a relief valve. On a tractor, it can't be last as the 3pt is the last valve in the hyd system.

Are you talking about a selector/divider valve that goes in the curl circuit so you can use either the curl or the grapple?

No. I was talking about another spool right at the loader control. I assume there are 2 there now. One for the boom and one for the bucket. I want to add a 3rd one for the grapple.
The 3rd one instead of having a rod controlling it, would have solenoids controlling it.

I am not sure if that is even possible

Ok. but how do I tie that in to my loaders hydraulics?
Is there special fittings or would that just get sandwiched in there some how
Also, my tractor has a 21.5 GPM capacity, so I guess I should go with this one

Does your FEL have PB?

If it does, just add the solenoid valve and subplate in series after the FEL.

PB from FEL valve goes to the subplate P port, and the subplate T port will go to the next valve. downstream.

Your 20 GPM hyd flow is going to give you a very fast grapple. You can use an orifice or an adjustable needle valve to slow it down.

If you use total flow for the FEL, the subplate will have none.

Thick is to use only half lever, and then some hyd flow will pass downstream.
