3rd function valve types

i have a kubota L39 TBL and want to add a grapple bucket. Tractor does not have a 3rd function valve to operated clamp on grapple bucket would like to understand operation of different types of valve sysetms before purchasing and instalation. was told that one valve type allows uses simlustaneous operation of bucket operation and grapple clamp operation thanks for any info

You could use a diverter valve and the FEL valve to operate the grapple.

The diverter will use the curl circuit hyd to operate the grapple. The FEL left/right will control the grapple open/close.

You could add a 3rd function after the FEL PB in series.

If you operate the FEL fully, there is no fluid available for downstream valve.

If you only use half lever on the FEL, then you have half pump flow to the 3rd function.

If not using the FEL, you have full flow to the 3rd function.
