Like most people find on here, installing the 3rd function switch on the end of a Kubota control lever puts it at an almost unusable position. At the very least, everyone ends up bending or fabricating their lever to an upright position. I decided to modify the control lever using some tube so I could run the wiring through it to clean it up a bit. I removed the lever and cut off the original leaving a 'stub' to weld to. The tubing I scrounged was 1/2" OD x 304 stainless (you use what's handy, right?) and bent this to the angle I thought would work best. I tig welded sleeves on each end---on the upper to make for a better fit for the control handle and on the lower end to slide onto the 'stub', which I welded. I milled a slot in the lower sleeve for the wires to come through under the lever boot. Black powder coat for the finish and time to go test. As far as the position of the control, I'd have to say I nailed it!

Nice work, I love working with SS and having the correct tools makes life easier, wish I had those dies for my Di-acro :)

Thanks! Those Diacros are sweet machines but the tooling for them is not a cheap date. I only have two sizes that I can bend, 1/2" & 3/8".
