Hello everyone the new tractor arrived the other day. I was hoping to get some advice from the wealth of knowledge on this site. I am fairly handy, on a scale of 1-10 what is the difficulty level of adding a 3rd function on the rear of my 1626? Thanks.

3rd function (front loader) or rear remotes? I'm asking since you specified the rear of the tractor.

Your loader valve should have a power beyond port. You will need to come out of that, to a valve out back, and then a return to the reservoir.
But I wouldn’t run a log splitter off you machine. It does you no favors with cost, speed, convenience etc.

What if the power beyond already feeds the 3 pt hitch?
Agree using a tractor to run a log splitter is a bad decision.
Run up the hours and for the cost of the engine & hydraulic oil and filters you could buy a cheap gasoline engine with a dual stage pump which will be much faster..

I agree with respect to hours on the tractor for running a wood splitter, I have heard that argument before. I wanted it to rotate my snowblower shoot as well, the manual handle is reachable so It might be more trouble than it's worth. If turning the shoot becomes too much hassle after the first winter I will reconsider. Thanks for the input. This site is great.
