3pt won't lower - duhhh issue

So Thought I broke something....3 pt arms would go up, but not come back down. Draft control all the way down, move handle back and forth, just up, up, up, no downward movement. Tried rear handle and watched linkage - what I could see looked fine.

So after tinkering for a while and now 3pt arms as high as they'd go, had a real dilemma - how do I get the bush hog off? Raised all the way, as soon as hyd toplink leaked down that would put weight on the PTO shaft and try to bend it. Also couldn't extend toplink enough to not hit bush hog frame risking bending it to have enough room to disconnect from PTO spline on tractor. So bush hog in the air, no way to lower it, no way to disconnect it.....hmmmmm...I'm in trouble......

So just before giving up and blocking it up so it couldn't change angle and damage shaft I thought to try the knob under seat for speed adjustment. I have never touched that and no idea why after tinkering around so long it crossed my mind. But sure enough, about 1/4 turn and 3pt lowered as normal.

Felt dumb and relieved at same time So moral of story.....if 3pt goes up but won't come back down, check that knob. Apparently mine must vibrate itself clockwise or I unknowingly bump it with my foot and turn it some. Because I'm sure I've never intentionally adjusted it.

I must kick that knob all the time because I have to reach down to adjust it often.
