3point hydraulic is too sensitive

I have a yanmar 1510 and the 3point hydraulic does not "feather" nicely. If i try to go up slightly, it goes up all the way, and when I try to lever it down slightly, it drops to the ground. Is there some way to control the sensitivity of the hydraulic lever?

First, yanmars don't have position control like a lot of tractors you might be used to. The valve is a plain hydraulic valve, you must return it to center to stop raising or lowering. Next the lowering speed can be adjusted by closing down on the needle valve located under the seat on the right side. The raising is not adjustable and is quite quick at higher throttle. You could try closing down on the other needle valve under the seat between you legs, but that's not it's designed purpose. It's there to lock an implement up

Like Byrd said, these (YM186/YM1510) are very difficult to feather. There is about 1/8" of handle motion between nothing and Instant Lift To Top.

A couple of other owners have commented on this and nobody has posted a solution that makes these suitable for grading a road etc.

This surprised me when I bought mine since my older YM240 can be controlled precisely like you would want.

As California stated, not all Yanmars are created equal. Some models will lift and hold in accordance where you put the handle. Your 186 is not one of those.

I have a YM2310D and I experienced the same frustration most recently on Saturday. Is there a listing somewhere that shows which Yanmars can do this?
