Spreader 3PH PTO Driven Spreader

Hi All,

On TSC there is a 3PT PTO Driven Spreader, #2118427 for $389.75. Question is, is this a decent unit? My JD dealer is quoting me ~ $550 for a Frontier unit, and I've spent about all of my Christmas $. I would use this for spreading fertilizer, but in the winter, Calcium Chloride and possibly sand. What do you guys think?

I have used the 3pt spreader a lot. It works good for fertilizer, we got one from TS. I do not think it would work for calcium chloride because that salt draws in water. And if it is not in a heated area it will freeze, and i do mean real hard.I worked for a school system for 30 years so i have have some experience with it. We left it out side and would throw a lot of it awaybe cuse we could not break it up.
