I will be needing to move some large slabs of granite to make steps outside. Has anyone ever welded up an engine hoist (attached picture) so it could be attached to the 3PH?

I realize this will make a very high center of gravity, but with caution (proper counterweight, moving slabs to site by other means and making fine movements with hoist, etc.), would this be a useful attachment? Obviously the extended legs would have to be removed as well.

Thoughts?
thanks

Isn't what you are contemplating called a boom pole?

Yes, I guess it is. I was thinking that the manual hydraulics would give you greater flexiblity--i.e., being able to lift higher and make fine maneuvering.... That looks quite handy. What is it's lift rating?

thanks
