Why not buy a tractor without a backhoe?

good used 2 & 4 wheel drive backhoes are cheap, plus you get a machine that was built for a backhoe
and you don't have to baby it

Here's a frame mounted tractor backhoe that the owner assumed he could operate like a real backhoe. This was on a facebook forum, the owner got a lot of good advice from other tractor backhoe owners (most all of them had welded enforcing brackets and plates)

The Kubota L3800 we have has a Kubota Backhoe Subframe and I have not seen any of these go bad as they are not hanging on the 3 point which has proven problematic.

$10k is spot on.

The $4k that they ADDED sould be a a $4k CREDIT. So that's an $8k swing.

Then the $2k freight....for a used machine....on THEIR lot....I could understand if they were freighting in something from another dealer from across the country....

But those two items.....yep...there's your $10k

LD1 has it right. A used machine should not have freight and delivery. You only pay that on a new tractor.

I wouldn't touch a rented tractor with a backhoe, it's a recipe for scrap. As for the price, welcome to the real world.

I have a 2004 Volvo EC35 mini ex and the computer went bad for the 3rd time. With 900 hours on the clock and new tracks the dealer offered me $3 grand for a trade towards a new one. Other than paint and the 3K bad ECM the thing looks like new.

The backhoe would be brand new... the harvest return does not have the hoe or hoe subframe.

I've seen the same on high end cars... those willing to buy used out of warranty expect and receive huge discounts.

Case in point... 15 year old Corolla retained 50% of price new... the cars was spotless with very low miles.

Case in point... 10 year old Range Rover also spotless... retained 5% of price new...

WOW here in TX for $39,000 I can get New LS XR4155 Cab hydro transmission or a Branson 5220 Cab Hydro with a 12' Lands pride, or Woods batwing shredder. That's delivered and setup ready to mow. I haven't priced a Backhoe attachment but I'm sure I could get a non cab model in the same sizes with a backhoe and still have $$ left over for other attachments. The delivery fee is Crazy high, Where are they shipping from the east coast?

its a big math error. I would just buy a new one before any rental BH unit, and BH on these models is not as stout as on a TLB unit

$2,800 +- is tax so the quote is actually $36,000 and change.

If the rental adjustment should have been a credit and not a charge then the quote is in the $29,000 range.

If you can get the 2k in freight off of there you are now at $27,000. That's a long way from $39,900

Yep... no updates as the buyers have been looking elsewhere and the sales person is on vacation.

I would think a new kioti Ck4010 with a backhoe would be about 30k. Kubota's are nice bot not worth 1/3 more USED over new..or new vs new either IMO
