370D starter solenoid

I have been having problems starting, the starter kicks out before the engine can start. I have had the starter completely apart and found nothing that appeared to be bad. The fly wheel ring gear looked OK. Today the solenoid seemed not to fully pull the bendix in, it got warm at the contact end. The number in my book called for MD602074>MM502-465>M371x80371. I sure could use one. The number on the starter is M4T14674, KE70 engine. asulenski@quixnet.net
