I have a 3520 with cx300 loader and when raising loader while moving the loader is jerky and noisy such as a cavitation sound. It has 15 hours on it so I took it back to the dealer to trouble shoot. All flows and pressures supposedly checked out. John Deere sent him an email stating that if the pressures and flow were correct it was within design specs and I would have to live with it. I was floored to say the least! I have had two other JD compacts and loader backhoes and never experienced anything like this.

Anyone have any suggestions or a direct line to JD service? I am very disappointed with the machine and JD service? Thanks

Kenny

Look in your tank and see if you see any air bubbles.

If so, check out the suction side of the pump and suction tube for an air leak.

Have you purged the hyd system of air?

Cycle the loader cyl about 10 times, and also the 3pt cyl,

JJ, haven't done either of these things . Tractor is at the dealer. Been told the JD system self purges air on its own. Any thoughts on how to do this?

Thanks

Air will self bleed from a hyd system by cycling the attachments about 5 to 10 times.

However, if air is being sucked in through a suction tube, the bleeding will be a repetitive thing,

Fix the source of the air leak.

As far as the volume of fluid, once the attachment is connected to the tractor and the lines and cyl are filled, the level of the fluid must be adjusted.

thought I would give my update. Took awhile for diagnosis at the dealer. The manufacture had the dealer do a bunch of things twice to try and remedy. The last resort was to swap out the pump with a new one. That fixed the problem and john deere wants them to ship the old part in for analysis. They have been having several tractors having the problem. This has been a problem since new and the tractor has less than 200 hours on it.

My John Deere 3520 hydraulic problems are over. I had a good JD dealer that did the honorable thing and refunded my money. JD wasn't willing to try to fix the problem which is evidently a design issue so I went across the street and bought orange. After three JD compact tractors and two zero turns I was very disappointed with JD's approach.

Had the same issue with Kubota, hydraulic problems. Like you, I way lucky enough to get fully refunded.

IMO they all seem to have their fair share of issues. Neither seem to be immune.
