Probably need minor adjustment.

Probably just need a minor adjustment.

Probably just need a minor adjustment. Building a hill with left over dirt from digging out a tank, hill is fairly steep. Go up hill in 4 wheel drive, M range, 3th gear., no problem, but sometimes backing down hill the M range slips out of gear. Have not checked nor tried to adjust linkage yet, would like some pointers before I start tinkering with it.

You are not alone. Same thing happens to my 3510 going down steep hills frontwards or backwards. Scary at first but just a minor nuisance once you know of the possibility and keep your foot close to the brake. Still, it would be great to know the fix, especially if it is an easy one!

I had a customer that had one doing it backing down the hill. I would have to look back on my paperwork to know the exact details, but it required splitting the tractor and replacing some forks and gears. Good luck with it.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks anyway. Not urgent in the least, but if you do find those details or a cost on the fix (I am out of warranty), I'd be interested in hearing them.

Not what I wanted to hear. Hoping just a linkage adjustment.
