I have a chance to pick up a nice 42" snowblower m03252x. Is it really needed if i already have a plow?

How often do do have 12" snow falls? If you average 4 or more than you should get it, just make sure you have room to swap either before or at storm time. Plow is great for little storm totals or slushers.

a snowblower requires much less forward thrust, so, yep, it's worth getting, and you can blow the snow in the direction you want, rather than building up huge piles to the side..

So here in maryland the last 2 winters have been mild. 3 years ago we had back to back +12" separated by a week.
It would be mounted on a 345. I would want to leave it on all season and sell the plow with my other deere which is a gt235.

I have the 425 with both blower
and blade. The blower is by far the way to go imho.

Well I got here a little late but here's my input:
It depends on how wet the snow is and also if you have any slopes. A blower is much more weight hanging out in front of the tractor so you get less traction at the rear tires. It usually doesn't matter if you are on fairly level slope. My driveway is very steep so even if I blow downhill then just try to drive the tractor back uphill it struggles. For me plowing downhill then driving back up to the top and making more downhill passes works better.
Also blowers don't do well with wet snow. In the end it's really a personal decision -- just use whichever one works better for your situation!

My driveway is flat, but long. Here we get all kinds of snow. The little bit of snow we did get last year was wet slush.
I dont want to have to switch between plow and blower even though ill have both. It took me a good 1.5 hours to get the plow on. I can on the only imagine how long it will take me to put the blower on.

Ok, finally delivered, i was hoping it had the support bracket but it didnt. Can anyone identify the brass long rod on the left sielde in the 3rd pic. Looks like half a lift kit is still attached. $300 delivered. Will post once i clean it up. Bring on the snow.

Yes, it did.. a Teflon spray can keep it that way. WD-40 as a second option.. salt is very nasty on steel..

Not to split hairs but that is a snow thrower not a snow blower. The difference is that a thrower is single-stage while a blower has the second impeller that helps out with the wet stuff. Both are available for the 345 but the thrower is a little lighter which should help out with the extra weight I was talking about.

If my driveway is level, are rear suitcase weights needed. I have 50lbs wheel weights and the rear AG tires are filled with fluid, i weight 180.
