Hi, I'm Frank. I'm considering the purchase of a 197? Suzue 1500 4WD tractor with a stuck engine. I am told this has the Mitsubishi KE70 2cyl. diesel engine. I've located places which claim to have parts. But I have no idea what machining might cost. Or even, how much if any of the block and/or other parts are salvageable. Are there rebuilt or good used KE70 engines out there? If so how much?

You can give TBN member Bruce Laten a call, Lynchburg Tennessee (931) 759-6699 I don't want to mention prices in the forum but he quoted someone I keep in contact with a price on a KE70 just last week. A complete engine ready to drop in shipped to a local freight terminal was very reasonable though. Basically, just a little more than what he had been quoted for a set of rings and a head gasket for his old engine from a parts dealer....Pretty good deal in my book.
