I was curious if anyone knows if Mahindra is discontinuing the 3325? I'm seeing this model advertised for really low prices lately ( less than $10,000) which seems odd for a 35 HP tractor. Most small tractors near 20 HP are more expensive than this. Any thoughts? What I've seen from a Georgia dealer seems like a good deal. (around $10,400 for a 3325 with a 5'rotary cutter and 5' box blade)

I haven't heard of anything like that but I have wondered about the 3325/3525. They don't resemble any of the other tractors in the line. They seem to be a bit old fashioned, big, heavy, no fancy sheet metal, not a lot of frills, just rugged brutes that get the job done. My dealer (in Ala) was advertiseing the 3325 with 5' disc, 5" brush hog, and a boom pole for $10,500 last spring. The implements were so light duty looking, I wouldn't have hauled them home for them. I paid $10,500 for a 3525, a boom pole, and a Stilh chain saw. The 3525 was $1,000 more than the 3325 comparing just bare tractors. I wonder if most people don't go this route for the power steering and live PTO.
So, it looks as if prices are about the same as last winter, early spring.
FWIW my 3525 now has a bit over 60 hours and totally trouble free.
Good luck with yours,
Jim

The 3325 and the 3525 models are not being phased out.

I have the 350DI which is the predecessor of the 3325. Same engine, trans, etc. Only the sheet metal is different. They may appear "old" but they are very sturdy. Most of the posts about problems concern electrical or hydraulic problems. The 350DI (3325) has manual steering and no fancy electrical add ons. Mine now has 215 hours and has only been to the dealer once for the "free" 50 hour valve adjustment. Look at the tractors from the 40's and 50's that are still running and be glad these tractors are made like the "old" ones. Good luck!

The odds of the 3325 being phased are slim to none for some time to come. We just got the new sheet metal in the last year and with the exception of the EPA compliance changes, the 3325 is the same tractor as the old 450 & E-350.
Only thing coming the first of 2005 that is real different is smaller compact tractors coming from Mahindra's new China factory.

Bill,

Good to hear from the #1 Mahindra dealer in the world! I see you've let the cat out of the bag on the new model coming next year. That should be interesting.

Just a note on the 3525, I put a 8 foot flail mower behind one the other day and mowed part of my orchard as a demonstration for a customer. I was simply amazed at the power. It ran the heavy flail through tall grass with ease. It's a real work horse.

Take care,

Dave
