3320 mower decks

So I am really close to pulling the trigger on a 3320 with low number of hours on it. I thinking about getting a belly deck for it. I have some questions about it. First, is all I need the mid PTO kit to add it? Does the PTo kit get you the quick disconnect? Can I add any deck that will work with a 3320 or do I have to look out for one that will only work for a specific year range?

mid pto kit is just the mid pto kit. Deck att items would be ordered with the deck. New decks (72d auto) should fit all 3x20 series regardless of years with the exception of those with the golf course style turfe tires (super wide) or ag tires as there is not enough clearence. On the older used decks they may not fit all units I do not know.

You need to make sure the tractor has the Rear 3rd SCV with control lever and will also need the hydraulic lift cylinder / hoses. Not sure if the lift kit is part of the attachment parts or an extra.

Even if you think the PTO kit is a DIY - check the parts pricing and make sure it is reflected in whatever you offer. PTO kit plus dealer install is not cheap.

The only thing I will say is don't get the 60" inch deck. Get the 72". You will have better edging control. I love mine and the cut is fantastic.

I suggest staying away from the original 7 Iron deck, and going with the updated Auto Connect deck. The original 7 iron always ripped up the grass with it's swivel wheels when reversing, was a bear to remove, and I had a problem with bending the front wheel vertical axles if I were turning and caught a tree root.
The new deck has rounded wheels on stationary vertical axles, and I have had no problems what so ever with it.
