I don't understand why when my tractor was delivered and i was shown how to use everything the deere mechanic told me the rockshaft WON'T lift the bh high enough and that i HAVE TO use the stabalizers to get the last couple of inches of lift. but after reading the manual i found the way the manual shows is quicker and easier.I just back up to i pull the inching lever all the way back shut off the engine and the pins slide right in! it only take me 5-10 mins to put on or take off the bh this way, as to almost 30 mins when the deere guy showed me? Am I going to damage the rockshaft hydrolics lifting it this way?? even though this is what the manual said to do.

Mount you hoe as the manual states. That's why its in the manual. The Deere machanic may have not read the manual. Follow the manual and if there is a problem." You did it by the book"

There is a rockshaft limit adjustment that has not been properly
set by the dealer when they installed the hoe. This is an easy,
although very touchy adjustment, that controls how high the
rockshaft lifts before it goes into relief. You may be able to see it
behind the tractor, to the left of center, with a rod that extends forward
under the seat. Undo the nuts and make the adjustment very slowly,
1 turn at a time, maybe less, until your rockshaft goes up just to the
right height to put the pins in on the backhoe.
If you need more info, we can find pics and post them..
