332 or 2210 for mowing?

Hiya,

I'm looking at both of these this week. They both have roughly 700 hours, the 332 has a deck, I would need to find one for the 2210. I have a 318 now and it works well on my lawn but I want to move to Diesel as the new fuel is a pain to deal with. I live on a former ski resort mountain so my property is all sloped and I do worry about transmissions as I have killed 2 commercial landscape mower hydro units.

So your opinion, do I go with the 332 for lower cost but older tech, 2wd and belt PTO or do I spend about 40% more and get the 2210 with the newer tech, 4wd, shaft drive PTO?

I have both tractors. I would go with the 2210 for your property. How big of an area do you mow? But if you are happy with the 318 (I have one of those also) you may be happy with the 332 as it is the same as the 318 except for the diesel engine.

Ethanol free fuel is hard to find but they have also changed the Diesel fuel with lower sulphur content.

So that now lots of folks (especially injector shops) always suggest using some kind of additive to assist in lubricating the pump.
