Can you give us the model number of the blower?

I had a 42 snow thrower on a Deere 325. Had the same thing happened and it was the belt that drives the auger on the blower (vice the belt from the tractor to the auger drive shaft).

I pulled the cover and found the area full of grease from greasing the drive shaft. I cleaned the whole housing out and put a new belt on it. Never slipped again.

Do you have the owners manual for the thrower? If not, check Deere publications for a down load.

can't find Model # , it the JD 42 inch, single stage snowthrower.

Without the model number, it is hard to look up the user manual.

Can you post a few photos of the unit?

How is the main drive belt tightened?

Richard
