3225 drive problem

lost drive. at first it started clicking then nothing, no go. if I push the differential lock in it goes, but only the left tire drives. hydro still works fine as power steering and deck lift works great. where to start? i'm sure its in the rear end.

The trouble definitely sounds like a differential gear or axle shaft is broken. I don't know if there are any pins involved that could break - that would be easier.
