3205 seat question

This pertains to those with neat, super-whippordill seats that latch and unlatch, and scoot back and forth.

I have one which, for various reasons, has always been latched and not moved.
Recently, I had to remove the fender, so the seat had to be moved. Turns out it was a job. Finally got it by hitting on a 2x4 I had. It was a big mess under the tracks.

I've cleaned things up considerably. Problem is there are roller bearings which seem to slide back and forth under the tracts. Where should these roller bearing s be when I put the seat tracks back in????

I have the same problem with my 3235 seat. I hardly ever move it but when my daughter mows, she needs the seat moved up and it takes quite an effort to move it. When I had the seat off I cleaned and lubed the tracks but that didn't last long.

Do you recall where the roller bearing should be with both rails in place?

what kind of lubricant didi you guys use....i reccomend wet graphite lube availible from napa. I used it on my toolbox and it really lessened up the effort.

I guess I didn't notice any roller bearings. I used a white lithium grease that I use for brake jobs.

try cleaning that off and putting on the wet fiolm graphite.......just dont use alot
