316 Skip in Engine

Hi Fellows i need your help i replaced my points and condensor on my JD 316 Tractor with an Onan B43E engine hoping to eliminate a skip in the engine but it even does it with the news parts can anyone tell me if im missing something

IME, I would double check the points, reset if they are off, start & run a little, check again. If they are still off, could be a cam bearing spun in the end plate.

Have you ruled out a fuel issue? Or do you know the skip is a spark problem?
How long (duration) is the skip? What seems to cause it to recover? rpm? ??

well im pretty sure its not a fuel problem im leaning more tord a sparkplug wire it doesnt seam to fit tight but when its running i can hear it but it seems to go away i think when i turn on the pto
