3140 POWER LOSS

My 3140 (1983 yr model) having problems. I was bushhogging and it shut down. I let it cool and it started and ran fine about ten minutes. started to run rough and drastic power loss. A very light blue. now it does this each time I try it. I changeed air and fuel filters. Drained fuel tank too. Ideas appreciated.

Check parts key #2(valve) for plugging. Also be sure return line is open back to tank. Do you have good flow from tank? Also could be a failed lift(transfer) pump.

Thanks Tx Jim, I will check item #2 tonite. Flow from tank seems fine, but I am not sure how to check.

Disconnect line from tank at lift pump and fuel should flow freely from the line.
