3140 FEL lifting capacity

Anyone know the actual lifting capacity of the FEL on a 3140? Tried searching the innerwebs and getting a host of answers. I have pallet forks and a 850# counterweight on the 3 point, I need to offload a 2200# piece of freight. Any experiences or info is greatly appreciated.

Appreciate the reply, I found this info as well and wasn't sure what "full at pin" meant. Either way that is really close to my freight amount, I guess we'll give it a try and see how it goes.

That's 2190 lbs at full height at the pivot pivot where the quick attach pivots from. Anything forward of this pivot pin will only reduce that capacity and don't forget the weight of the forks will only reduce that capacity further.

You also don't have enough counter weight for that kind of lifting. Ideally about 1200 to 1500 lbs in counter weight to make it at least safe.

Be careful moving really heavy stuff around on pallet forks. Front wheel bearings are one of the weak links in the chain, something I had never considered until I damaged one on my 4047H.

Pallet forks move the load farther forward so lifting capacity is reduced. It's probably not going to be able to lift it. You didn't mention what model loader, it varies by model. Even if it can, if the rear tires are not filled you don't have enough ballast weight to safely move it. If you're going to give it a try, I hope you have a backup plan if it doesn't work. Keep the load as close to the ground as you can. When you lower it, control that lever as it will drop fast and when it bounces it will have a greater impact load wise.
What are you offloading this weight from?
