Somehow I managed to kink the hydraulic line going just below my hydrostatic transmission filter to the reservoir. It isn't leaking but a trace of fluid. The kink is about one third of the diameter. Is this a bypass line or a return line? Any harm in running with it that way until the next full fluid change? Thank you for your consideration.

Without a hydraulic schematic it is hard to tell if it is pressure or return.
No the kink will not hurt anything, I would keep an eye on it because it has been weakened.

Thank you for the response. I don't have a schematic. But I have the new part on order! Not worth snagging something else in the back 40 by the river at the most inopportune time. I already ripped off the speedometer cable shortly after purchasing the machine. My previous 2900GST seemed less prone to this sort of thing. I guess its just the cost of doing business, i.e clearing trails.

If you do that much trail clearing, I would recommend some sort of under body aluminum or sheetmetal gaurd! Doesn't have to be any-thing fancy! I don't have one on my L3130 HST, but I did have some sheetmetal buddies make me a skid plate for my engine and swing arm on my 2001 Yamaha Warrior 350 4-wheeler, and if I didn't have those my 4-wheeler would already be destroyed!.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
