3054 steering wheel

Your CK shouldn't ever have a wobble problem. You have a differnet design steering column, like the DK's and the new LK3054xs. The only steering columns that will wobble would be the older LK's. They have a 2 piece shaft, where all the others have a 1 piece.

And the LB1914 older models at least. That's the one I first saw that had the wobbling steering wheel. I'm still not sure that it's the shaft at all, but the bushing that caused that problem. I guess you would have had to see it for yourself. John

Ya some of the older LB's did, not as bad as the LK's though. A lot of it is the bushing, but the 2 piece shaft doesn't help the problem. The upper shaft just fits on the lower shaft loosely and is held in place by a pin. This design allows the upper shaft to wobble side to side on the lower shaft.

I have an lk3054 2002 and mine is the same way 135hrs on it and it did the same thing. It had play from new and by pulling on it to get on and off the tractor it loosened up a little bit, doesnt seem to be getting any worse. I am not worried about it doesnt effect operation at all. When it starts rubbing metal i will replace it.
