Performed the first "work" with the tractor today instead of just joyriding. Spent an hour doing FEL work. In a word.... AWESOME!!!
You folks that recommended the hydro tranny for loader work were right. The work I was doing was in a tight spot and the hydro made the back and forth and tight turns so easy I couldn't believe it. I can't imagine having to change gears and work a clutch with what I was doing.
The non-removable FEL feels "tight" with no slop. I started to attach my 5' KKII tiller but decided to see how it performed without the extra balast. Although the only balast on the rear of the tractor was liquid filled tires, the tractor never seemed to get "light" in the rear, even with a full bucket of wet sand.
The Yanmar engine fires up the first time you hit the starter even when COLD and purrs like a tiger. Although I haven't run a PTO attachment yet, the turbo seems to kick in at about 2200 rpms and gives it that extra "kick". The headlights are BRIGHT. I was thinking about attaching extra lighting but I doubt I'll need it.
Overall I couldn't be happier. More to come.
