3020 Repair Manual?

Which one to buy? There are several different versions available at prices from $30-100+. There are newer versions and the original dealer shop manuals. Not sure if there is much difference (like a haynes vs chiltons manual)

Basically looking for a fairly detailed repair manual for early (1964) propane 3020.

Id consider a pdf but prefer to have the paper copy for ease of use in the shop.

IMAO the Deere versions will be the most detailed. There used to be two books sm2038 and sm2039, today there is no more sm2039 and instead that info is in the FOS manual, which can be helpful if you don't have a strong understanding of the theory of operation, sm2038 is the actual tech manual. If I remember correctly there is also a separate manual for the hyd pump, but could be (and often am) wrong. You will spend the most $ on paper copies, cd's etc will be the lowest price.

You can see all the diagrams for free on jdparts.Com sometimes that is enough to get things apart.
