Noticed a small leak the last few days. Now it's coming out too much to be running tractor. Was planning on fertilizing in two days. Where should I start looking for the problem spot?

Well a seal doesn't usually go that fast. I'd be looking at some of those small plastic lines. They get brittle with age. I've also had to replace the o-rings on some of that larger lines going into the side of the pump. Look up the parts on JD parts website and you'll see what I mean.

Side screens are off and leak isn't coming from that high. dropped the front wheels to get better access to pump. Cleaned off pump and ran it to see leak is coming from the top of the pump. It looks like it might be the banjo bolt that goes into the bottom of the oil cooler. Tightened it up, but is still leaking a little. Might be the short hose between banjo and cooler. Hard to see in there.

3-4-5-6I would say it is more likely the hose. I would get new orings for the banjo fitting and a new hose and try replacing them first. Could also be one of the piston plugs on top of pump. Is it spraying out with pressure or just running out?

When you replace hose be sure and get a hyd type hose not a radiator type hose.

So it was the hose between banjo and cooler! I still have O-rings for banjo on their way from dealer. I did replace hose with light duty hyd hose but that made it real difficult to get back in. The oil cooler line is about 1/4" higher than banjo fitting line so it was real difficult to bend hose to get bolt to thread in straight.
TxJim, do you know if these lines are supposed to line up straight or are they offset a little bit?
I won't be replacing o-rings if I can't get the lines straight on with each other. Took WAY too much time to get put back together
