300x Loader stuck in bound cockeyed position

Chris sorry for the confussion. What I am telling you is once the four Quick couplers are disconnected from the tractor, you need to take two wrenches and remove the male quick coupler end from the hose. Be sure and have a bucket to catch the hyd. fluid. By removing the hose ends you will releave the pressure and relax the loader. Hopefully enough to get it straight enough to install or uninstall.
That's one problem wtih the new style loaders. They seem to have too much flex and if not on level hard suface can give you fits getting it back on. I have had a couple of bouts with mine and never had one problem with the old style 440 loader on my JD870.

In the below picuture there are two hoses, each fitted with two male quick coupler ends. These male ends will thread on and off. Remove the QC to releave the hose pressure on your loader.

On Deere Parts Site search for 300x loader. Then go to H. Its under Hydraulic hose (300 300x) Part number 13. Hope that helps.

Sincerely, Dirt

Dirt:
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll remove the male coupler to relieve the pressure first thing in the morning. With any luck at all I should up and running soon. I let you know how things work out.

Chris, you probably know this already, BUT before you unhook those four couplers, shut off the tractor and rotate/move the joystick to all four positions to relieve as much hyd. pressure as possible, then unhook couplers and remove the quick coupler ends(previous suggestions). For safety, wear safety glasses/shield and gloves to protect eyes and exposed skin. Did you know that doctors cut off fingers and hands that have had high pressure fluids that penatrate the skin? That's why I decided to bring this point up. You want as much hyd. pressure relieved as possible BEFORE you remove those quick-couplers. Are you going to need any "blocking" or jacks to support areas of the loader, once the hydraulics have no pressure? Just a couple things to consider.

Catman:

I did know these things. However, your reminders about safety are very much appreciated. If you've ever seen a waterjet cutter, you quickly gain an appreciation for the power of high pressure liquids.

Ya all think it's really necessary to relieve pressure ?

Kinda figured that one could position it to where the posts just lift off and come-a-long that right post into place and drop it back down.

But maybe not.

I would expect that if the two sides are free to move you should be able to equalize them by using a lever while the hydralic system is still intact, just like if one of your curl cylinders is out and the other in... The hydraulic lines and pressure are common to both sides. If you can force one in, the other will move out.

Believe me when I say you can't just force this. In my first post I described trying to lift off the left side of the loader from post by pulling up and back at this point. I did this by first afixing a pulley to an approximately 12" diameter horizontal branch about 12 ft above ground of a sugarberry/hackberry tree. I then used a cable my truck to pull up and back on the tractor. I only succeeded in lifting the left side of the tractor off the ground. I tried to pull the right side back and down onto the post by pulling it and only succeed in sliding the tires and slightly lifting the left rear tire off the ground.

I'll try Dirt's method of first relieving the hydraulic pressure after it gets light.

pat32rf, I think that is one of the problems is when Chris pulls on one side the other side moves also. By relieving the hyd pressure hopefully Chris will be able to move one side or the other independently and free up one side at a time so he can get things straightened back out.

Chris, you will probably have to either use a pry bar or maybe even a 4x4 wood block and sledge hammer to bump the mast where you need it. Good luck!

Chris,
Did you get a chance to see if the front frame of the loader
is locked to the tractor? The loader locks on the frame,
and if yours is fully or partially locked on the tractor,
i don't think you would be able to move much of anything.

See if the green square bar, that locks on top of the tractor
front frame is engaged with the frame, or rocked forward..
