The loader was parked in the grass and we had heavy rains. When installing the loader on my 4410 the bucket started sinking into the grass. Things went to heck, I got frustrated and made a complete mess of things.

The attached pictures tell the story, but here are a few words. The left side of the loader is attached as it should be. The right side is cocked up and I can't get it down. The hydraulic cylinders aren't extended to the same degree on the left and right side. The loader isn't sitting on the tractor straight if you look at it from head on.

I tried lifting the left side of the loader off, by pulling it from above and behind and only suceeded in lifting the left side of the tractor off the ground.

I've tried pulling the right side down onto the post and only suceeded in sliding the tires of the tractor.

I thought the problem might be helped by removing the four bolts on each side that attached the back of the loader to the front the of the loader that mounts on the front of the tractor. This didn't help.

Are the hydraulics keeping things from moving? If so, what things should I disconnect / unscrew / decouple to relieve the pressure?

If the hydraulics aren't the problem, what ideas do you have for either getting the loader off or right side down where it should be.

Yes, I'm embarrassed / ticked / frustrated / worried. Sigh.....

Please post the pictures as they will really help.

Your pictures did not load...And I have no advice other than ALWAYS take the loader off on a LEVEL and HARD surface.

And, Welcome to TBN:D

Chris,
It's hard to tell from the pictures, but is either side
of the latch on the mast actually "latched"?

if so, (it looks like it is) I would start by trying to
use the same procedure to remove the loader...
put some pressure on the loader... unlatch the
latches and see if the loader frees itself from
the front of the tractor frame (which may not want to come, but maybe you
could pry the frame out over the tractor front frame)
and then continue to try to remove the loader completely
again on a hard surface.

???

I think I would try and get it on a hard suface if you can do that without any problem. You will have to go in Reverse. Then disconnect the hydraulic couplers. Once disconnected, remove the male QCoupler to releave the hyd. pressure. After that you should be able to use a bar to get everything lined up somewhat. Now replace the QCouplers and either remove the loader or install it, whichever looks easier.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

The tractor / loader are now on a smooth concrete surface. I got latches released and tried to do the unmounting procedure without success.

Dirtworksequip:
I think you've almost got me where I need to be, but I'm unclear about a couple of things.

When you say then disconnect the hydraulic couplers I assume you mean the four standard fittings that you always connect/disconnect when mounting or unmounting the loader. Correct?

When you say "Once disconnected, remove the male QCoupler to releave the hyd. Pressure" I don't know what you mean. I went out and looked at the loader and couldn't find anything that I thought met that description. Can you provide more detail regarding where it is or what it looks like?

Here is a link to the JD website which details all the parts to the 300 x. Do you see male QC coupler? It might be there, but I'm having trouble locating it.

Chris,
with both mast latches undone,
what happens when you attempt
"lift" with the joystick?
is there somebody to help you, maybe watch
to see if the loader mechanism is trying to unlock
itself from the front of the tractor frame?

The QC's(quick-couplers), or also called QD's(quick-disconnects) are the 4 couplers for the loader hydraulics. What he is saying is to disconnect all for couplers.
