300CX dumping - not staing up while running

Based on my experience, this is not normal. It sucks when you have an issue like this but the dealer should be able to identify and fix the problem. With the tractor being so new they should either send a guy out or come and pick up the tractor. Good luck.

My loader will definitely flex if I jump up and down on the forks. Whether it's normal or not I don't know. My loader will settle down on it's own even empty, I'd say maybe a couple inches an hour. The bucket will also slowly lower if i fill it with dirt with a shovel but I'm not sure what the tolerance is for it. Keep us posted. Please. I'd also like to know if there is a difference between gear tractors and hydros leaking down? Do hydros share the pump with the loader where as gears have their own separate system? My father in laws 870 with 440 loader will stay up forever as well as my neighbors 5105, both are gear tractors. I'm wondering if hydros get some kind of leakage into the drive system from the loader? Anyone know?

The bold is how mine started. Then it got worse. After i posted, I had to load a disk on a persons trailer. I had the disk in the forks and did not have leakdown, then we chained the dis to lif it on, and had the chain close to the middle of the forks. I was sure to watch for leakdown as it could really screw things up. I had none. At least not noticable as it was before.

I am wondering if I have some shavings or other material in the hydro system that is messing stuff up? I hate to do a full hydro change now as the dealer might start messing with the tractor, and i would rather do it after they get done.

After I was done last night I parked the tractor and left the forks about a foot off the ground with some chain on the end of the forks. I went back 20 minutes later, and they were in the same spot. I hate to drive it up to the dealer and have it not leak down..... But.... I also really moved the joystick around trying to maybe free something that might have been stuck.... Maybe its my scv valves.... I hate this....:(

It may be good to change your hyd oil and filters. Try to drain it through something like a thin cotton cloth to see if you find trash. If you do, I would save it and discuss it with dealer. You may want to cut your filters open and look in there also. I would also watch for water in there. If you have much it could be acting different (expanding and turning to gas) when heated than the hyd oil.

I plan to switch hoses tonight to try to isolate the issue. I did not have time last night......

Well, sheet.....

I switched over hoses on the loader after using it tonight with little leakage. After about 45 minutes, the dump cyl. dropped 1 3/4 inches.... The height was within 3/8ths of there it was left, and that could have been a measuring issue of mine.... So... It looks to me like its a packing issue in both the dump cyl...... Unless both the dump cyl and the hieght lower, then I might have both a spool and cyl problem......

I think I should have kept the open station 3720 that treated me so well.........:(

40 minutes later the dump is out 4 inches and the height is down another 1.5 inches.... I must have a problem in both the spool and the cyl.....

Hydraulic oil will NOT compress. If there is any air in the system however, the air will compress. You might have a little expansion in the hoses which could give a BIT of bounce.
If you have a bad packing on a cylinder and are not using the regen function there is a good chance that you are sucking air into the cylinders when you lower or dump a load.
Do you have any visible oil leakage? If so I would get that fixed first then go on from there to isolate the problem

Nope, no oil leakage......

Something tells me the flex is normal. It would help cussion the ride of the bucket offroad and help not to break stuff. After using the loader up/ down and dumping a lot to try to work stuff out, the leak down seemed to slow...

Who knows... I traded a perfect open station for this cab model and I hope I did not make a mistake.

Intersting you would bring this up - I noticed yesterday on my brand new unit that when driving along there was movement of the whole loader system relative to the hood during bumps - like it had air in lines and I assumed "eh, probably some air in lines". My 2520 with no seat suspension let me know there was NO flex. I'll step on my forks and check and report.
