3 way or 4 way valve

I have a B7800 with LA402 Loader and would like to know what valve I have on there. How can I figure this out? I did a search and couldnt find anything.. I have the # off the valve also thanks

The 4 way valve on my LA402 is a B2079.

A 3 way valve would be a B2069.

If you download the parts manual from tractorsmart.com you will see pictures of both valves and see the difference.

Both valves have 2 hexagonal pieces screwed into the end opposite the control handle. On the 3 way one of the pieces is about half as long as the other. On the 4 way valve the 2 pieces are float detent valves and are equal length.

On a 4 way you can also feel the detent position when you push the lever all the way to the right. It feels just like the float position detent on the 'down' operation of the lever, a slight resistance and then you can push the lever a couple of inches more. Don't try it the first time with a big load in the bucket!

There is also a model # and serial number tag on the loader spool valve. Makes life easier.

And what has led you to believe that I have ever done ANYTHING the easy way? I prefer the challenge of doing eveything the hard way. True it takes 3 times as long but it is much more rewarding /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Exactly what part number do you have then. The ones I mentioned are for the LA402 and one came right from an actual LA402 and the other verified from the parts list.
