I have a L3400 and have a box scraper and a post hole digger and I just got a rear blade. I would like a quick attach setup. Will any accommodate the post hole digger or will they only work with the scraper and blade? How about choices? The dealer wants $500 for a Land Pride model. Will others work as well?

I have an "el cheapo" from Harbor Freight -- less than $100 -- others here on tbn have better but you can bet we all agree -- QAs are great. My post hole digger does not work with the QA but everything else I have does. bush hog, box blade, grader blade, landscape rake, and carry-all. You can spend as much or as little as you want -- how fancy do you want to get -- there are a large variety of makes & styles to choose from. All you can do is search and decide what works best for you. You can try to do a search here on the forums for "quick attach" .....I'd say be ready for some reading....;)

There are a lot of options out there. I run John Deere imatch's and love them. All of my implements fit them and the change process is quick and easy. The only available QA that i think will work for your PHD as well is Pat's QA which only uses the lower links on your three point (you have to manually hook up the top link).

A post hole digger does not use a toplink so it is not quick hitch compatible. I have a harbor freight quick hitch and I love it. The lift arm pins were to small so I drilled them out to 7/8. I looked at a QH at TSC Sunday and it did not look better than my harbor freight QH. When you use a QH you have to use bushings for the top link and lift arms. You should also recheck your pto shaft length.

I have a L3400, and a QH. But I just bought a Pat's system, I like it better.

Bo,
The Landpride QH is a good unit. The only thing that I would suggest would be to get the longer lower bushings as the ones that come with it are a little too short. I just set one up for a customer last week for a cutter, blade, and tiller. I think that the short bushings allow too much "sloop". I work for a dealer in Cottonwood and we have a QH sitting in the store. Send me a PM and I'll give you my number.

Thanks for all the input. I still haven't made up my mind though.
