3 pt problems

my to 20 industrial's 3 pt is stuck in the up position. the manipulation of the draft or lever for up and down have no effect. the up/down lever developed a stiff spot in its range of motion and since then the 3 pt. is stuck in the up position. any assistance would be appreciated.

The most likely cause is the control valve is stuck. Shut down the engine and open the side plate on the right. There is an "H" shaped control fork that actuates the valve. Reach down the contol fork into the oil and feel for a "T" shaped stem that is hooked to the bottom of the "H". Make sure it's attached to the fork. If it's not that's your problem. If it is pull back on the "T" shaped handle. When it moves back, the lift should drop. Then move it forward and see if it sticks when you try to pull it back. Look at all the linkage and make sure the controll fork moves back and forth when you move the lift lever down and then up. There is probably some crud in the control valve that's making it stick. What's the oil look like? When was it last changed?
