3 pt attachments in hitch hole?

I would like to get a box blade for my 2138, but I don't want to go through the extra expense of a three point hitch. Won't it just hook up to the hitch hole? I know I won't be able to lift it without the 3pt hitch, but I can just haul it where I need it with the wagon and then use it there.

It wont track right without some sort of arms to control it. It will just swing from side to side when ever it wants to.

But don't give up, they have implements made for your single hole hitch.

I'm in the same boat with no 3 pt. in the rear on my 3184. If you find some items, as Willl says can be done, please post them. I'd like to have a look and have yet to get results from my search.

I have found a Box 'Scraper' that can be used with a regular hitch
from Farmstar. If you are interested in this you can find it at this link...

You might try looking for the box 'blade' under ATV attachments via
a google search. I have often had better luck finding attachments via
this search method than lawn tractor, etc.

The box blade is a 42" agri fab from lowe's and the electric hitch is one I bought
on ebay for a little over $300.00. This is one of the best things I have done to the 2544. Found it very handy for other uses as well....1OD

The control is a simple center off spring return 2 pole toggle switch. I mounted it on the right side of my control panel. It comes with the hitch assembly. The way mine is mounted (center top of the rear plate) the actuator angel is 42deg up to 60deg down. Total lift is 8". The actuator is rated for 500 lbs. Never tested it at that weight, so I can't swear that is fact!! 1OD

Check out johnnyproducts.com. They have a new model that really looks good...I like the fact that the lift is located in the center, un-like some of the side mounts which will bend it's own frame!!! Here's the link:
