3 Point Lift

I have a Mitsubishi built Case International 1140. When the lift get up about 2/3 the way, it slows the engine down. When it passes this point, the engine resumes it's normal RPM's. It doesn't choke the engine completely down, just makes it lug. This happens with no implement on the lift. Any ideas what's wrong?

Is all the linkage connected correctly.

Is there any mechanical binding.

If operating the 3pt is causing the engine to load up, is related to the hyd flow against a resistance.

If you install a hyd gage in the hyd system, you can use it to monitor and trouble shoot the hyd system.

Will the 3pt lift a heavy load?

All linkage is connected correctly. No mechanical binding. Will lift anything I have. Don't have a gauge yet. Once it gets past the 2/3 position, it turns back to normal the rest of the way up..
