I just saw this thread, your 3 point lever has to shift a valve spool. The problem could be the spool or linkage binding internally. Some disassembly required. Before you open your hydraulics, think cleanliness is next to godliness.

Just to share my experience . . . I changed my hydraulic fluid and suddenly found my three point lever much easier to move. I suspect the better and newer fluid helped the insides of the tractor work better. This was on a New Holland TC-40.
