3-Point Hitch 3 POINT HITCH

/ 3 POINT HITCH #11
Rick, I use the lift arms from Earnie's. Not cheap, but very high quality. I found the same problem on my 1602D. My solution was to shorten the adjustable upper link by cutting it in half, removing about 2.5 inches, and welding it back together. The link was the shortest one I could find at my local farm/fleet store. With the shorter upper link I can lift a box blade, field mower, or anything else several feet from the ground. (ps) It's a tricky weld job to keep the link straight.

Rick, I think factory Yanmar lower lift arms usually have 3 holes in which to attach the lift arm link, and, as Bruce said, the hole closest to the tractor will give the greatest lift and drop, (trigonometry or something like that /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif), although you lose some lift leverage. However, it appears from the pictures that most aftermarket lower lift arms only have one hole.
