I'd like to pick up a 3ph trailer mover for pulling a single axle trailer around some farm fields and trails, hauling firewood, a water tote, things like that.

Everything Attachments is typically the first place I look, but it looks like their trailer mover doesn't have any loops for the safety chains, or check chains, etc.. I could weld something on myself, but just wondering if anyone knows of good offerings ready from the factory.

Thanks

I picked up an old frame-mount receiver hitch at the salvage yard. With a few mods and a little welding, I made one that fits my quick hitch--The 3-point kind. Well heck. I looked but don't even have a picture of it. I try to get one later if you're interested. Mine came with loops but why would you need safety chains? Stay off the road. :confused3:

I wouldn't really NEED safety chains, it's more a matter of just having a place to stick them. Check chains however would run down to the draw bar to keep the trailer from being able to push the 3ph upward beyond a certain point.

I can build one, but I'm not a professional fabricator and as busy as I am right now it's just not worth my time. If it comes down to it though, yeah, I can just weld on some loops myself.

ANY tractor or farm type store should have them for pickup and go, no shipping necessary. Wrapping chains around one is simple if they don't have loops. Or loops can be added easily.

I know they're around. I'm just asking for suggestions for good ones.

I should have also noted in the OP I'd use it for more than just pulling trailers. I'd occasionally stick a receiver shackle in there and use it for pulling logs and such. So I'm looking for something strong.

Are you using the tractor you have listed? How strong does it need to be? Does your tractor have a draw bar?

I would rather pull/bend the pins out of mine than pull the rear end out. Choose your repairs like YOU had to pay for them.

Some with the B2650, but more with a JD990.
