3 PH Up or Down?

Does it matter whether the 3 ph is left in the full up or full down position when no implements are attached? I usually leave mine in the full up position because the lower link arms seem too close to the ground when going over rough terrain.

With no weight on the 3-point, I don't see how it could make any difference. I usually leave mine up, too.

One of the most agravating things I can think of, is backing up on rough terainr and having the arms catch on a stump or something. When moving around, mine are always up.

Bird, that's pretty much what I would have thought, too. I get a bit confused about the hydraulics on these tractors, so wanted to make sure there wasn't some hidden problem I might be causing.
