2950 lost gears

We have JD 2950 that has lost pulling power in low & high range gears. Will only pull a load when in the "rabbit " gear range.
Can anyone explain what caused this, what it will take to repair, & how much it could cost.

Sounds as if you've lost hyd pressure or clutch plates in low(turtle) side of hyd hi-lo. I'll suggest to check pressure on top of valve housing on top of clutch housing. Pressure should be 155-165 psi. Another thought is a shift linkage problem. Does your tractor have a cab?
