I am new to tractors an just picked up a 2816 for some deer food plots and small things around the house. I noticed I got a leak on the loader controle stick. It's comeimg from behind the quick connect with the blue zip tie on it. My question is do I need to just pull the fitting and tape it up and tighten it down? Is there maybe an o ring under it leaking? If I pull the fitting will flud come poreing out? Sorry for my ignorance in this subject I'm am new to this after all.

Relieve the pressure by rotating your joy stick. You should'nt lose any fluid. Simply loosen the fitting, and disconnect it. Check for debris in the threads, or cross threading. My guess is it is just loose. If you can tighten it with a crescent wrench before you do the above, you will have fixed it.

So the fitting on the bucket controler is just a threaded fitting. No o rings or anything. It looks to be a stainless fitting so I think I will take it out and tape it up. Sure would hate to gaul it trying to just tighten it up. Thanks much for the info.

I had the same issue and I just had to re-tighten it. No big deal. Happened on my Kubota BX22 as well.
