Kubota L3940HST/LA724 quick attach
Is there any way to speed up the dump and rollback speeed on the loader of my 2815HST? I love the tractor all except the speed of the loader and the speed of the tractor in reverse. A friend of mine has a L3130HST Kubota which is only 3 hp more than mine and his bucket speed is lightning compared to mine and will run off and leave mine in reverse as well.
Thanks!

There is a certain position with the joystick control for the FEL that seems to speed up the dump mode at least. I would say it's about 1/3 of the way to the right. It's a little tricky to find but you should notice a faster dump speed when you hit it. On the reverse speed. There are stop screws underneath the floorboard for the forward and reverse pedals. I was able to adjust mine so that the reverse pedal goes down further. This will give you a little more speed backwards.

Looking at the service manual and speed it gives per gear selection and then comparing the information on the Kubota it's just faster in all gears. So I wouldn't try racing it.

Kubota
Reverse: Low: 0-3.5 mph, Medium:0-6.8 mph, High: 0-15.1 mph

I would say Mahindra is behind in all model lines as far as loader speed compared to JD and Kubota. I looked at larger tractors as well as mine and the loader speeds are half as fast. The lift capacity is very competitive but the speed is not even close. We have about the same GPM numbers as well as weight capability so I wonder why our loader speed is so much slower? Wish there was something I could do to modify it. I use the loader a whole lot and it being slow and going slow in reverse makes me want something else but I do love the Mitsubishi engine. SMOOTH!!!

My new 2516's loader is a lot quicker then my Kioti 3054's. I have no issues with the loader speed. shrug.

I never have figured out why some worry about loader speeds because it's only a tractor and so long as it works and doesn't break..great. Now if we were talking about minutes instead of seconds to get it to complete and operation then that would be an issue especially if was work related, but play time. To me out on the tractor listen to the stereo is just good fun time even in the winter.

Also keep in mind that rpm will directly effect both FEL and travel speeds so you may get better results at a higher rpm. Mahindra cycle times for this model are quoted at 2700 rpm which is pretty high for actual use IMHO.

Yeah, they quote the speeds at wide open throttle and they are still half speed of the industry. This is the weak link in these tractors. Everything else is really nice. I would love for someone to tell me how a tractor with identical GPM flow from a hydraulic pump and a loader with identical lift capacity can rollback and dump at half the speed of another one. There has got to be a way to improve it.

If what you say is true and lift height and weight capacities are the same, then look at the size of the cylinders. Either the Kubota cylinders are smaller with better geometry, or the Mahindra has some sort of restriction in the system, maybe the loader control valve can be altered in some way.

I have a 3215HST and my loader functions are fine with me. No they are not as fast as our Case 580 TLB, but they seem alright to me. ;)
