275 Gallon Home Heating Oil Tank-What should I do with it?

I made a Maple syrup evaporator out of one.

My neighbor made one like that. probably the best use of an old tank I've seen, if you are in Sugar Maple country.

What shape tank is it? Any idea of the wall thickness? I also thinking of a paint booth convertible to an oven for baking paint finishes. I would create a downdraft for the fumes and line it with disposable material that I would discard when changing over to paint booth. I would add casters so I can wheel it around for storage.

nobody suggest a smoker. Lay the tank o is side and cut in half lenghtwise. add some grates a set of wheels and a burner and cook some great bbq.

I’ve got one too, original plan was a smoker, then I got a sweet Grilla pellet smoker and I like it so much that I can’t see myself using another unless I had a huge party. (Not likely at all)

I’ll make a dump trailer out of it eventually.

WE had a smaller one, cut open one side and made a 'burn barrel' out of it.
Around here open fires burn underground and come out wherever later on so barrel burning is the safe way to go.

Just because it is a 250 gallon tank, you don't have to put 250 gallons in it.
Just throw 50 gals in and monitor how long it takes to use it.
IF you heat with oil and your tank is outside, then you really don't need this tank as long as you can get your tractor beside it.

Be careful, could get condensation.
