A few days ago I was moving some heavy rocks on my property. While dumping a large rock, my bucket refused to curl from the dump position causing me to shout ~~!! What the **** now~~!! within seconds I smelled hydraulic fluid and noticed it spitting from above the Belly deck. Turns out, I blew a hose coming from the diverter valve which handles the curl function and hydraulic belly mower ( 62D )lifter. No big deal I thought ! this is an easy fix and removed both lines so as to remove the busted line from the protective sock. Had a new line made up and re installed it thinking , ****,!! that was easy!! till I started the tractor and backed it out of my shop. Then came the trouble as it will dump but not curl. Decided to bleed the lines at the cylinders with no help, then decided to switch the easy disconnects from one to the other which allowed me to curl but not dump. So, what now?? While holding it in the dump position, I can hear the pump loading up and see a slooooooooow dump that takes forever. So here I am screaming HELLLLLLPPP!!!!! Anyone with this problem please help~~!!!
My 2720 has been a challenge and no one seems to have an answer. My jd is 11 years old with 86 hours on it. My site glass is completely red.( always has been) Parked it on flat surface. Moved it up a hill, down a hill and the red stays constant. Jd corporate insists I have a dip stick. NO such stick on my tractor. They tell me to remove some fluid so I see a level in the site glass. Rather than open the valve and have it gush out, is there a way I could siphon some out? Supposingly 4.6 gallons in the unit. Suggestions?

Welcome to TBN
Not sure I follow what the "challenge" is, but apparently you have a reason to be concerned that the fluid is over-full. (or is there an apparent problem of being over-full?).

If no problem, then I would leave it be, knowing that there is enough fluid to keep the sight glass full.

If a problem, then think I would just remove a hose end coupling and run some fluid out into a clean container carefully.

The red is from a red dye, so the fluid is visible in the sight glass.

Per JD parts, the schematic for the tranny shows a dipstick on the left side, key #25
