Hi Folks,

I'm hoping someone can help. I have a steering problem with my 2000 B2710 (780 hours). I've read most of the 2710/2910 steering problem posts, but mine is a bit different.

The tractor turns to the left with one finger. Turning to the right is very, very hard. It does it all the time, not just when hot. And it does it in any gear at any speed. I can use the FEL to lift the front end off the ground, and it's still one finger to go left, and the whole hand to make it go to the right (obviously easier with the wheels off the ground, but still much, much harder than left).

Fluids and filters were changed about 20 hours before this started happening. Fluids are still crystal clear.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help, Mike

I don't have drawings for your tractor, but I would say that you have a valve stuck in the steering unit.

Hey Jerry,

Thanks for the response. Is that typically a replacement exercise, or are there some ways to try and un-freeze it first?

Cheers, Mike

The valve and steering assembly is one unit. It is mounted below the steering wheel under dash. In Kubota's trouble shooting guide they mention nothing about steering not working in one direction. There may be something keeping valve working in only one direction. There is not much info in manual on how the assembly works.
