2555 throttle not responding

2017 2555 hst about 600 hrs. Had it about 4 yrs. In that time this happened a couple times, but this weekend it happened multiple times. After running the tractor for a couple hours fine, if i throttle down, then throttle back up, it wouldnt go above 1500 rpms. Let it cool a few hours it would run fine again. Seen a few other people post about the issue, but no one says what solved it. Few post suggested rerouting throttle cable. Someone said something about a spring on the throttle sensor. Dealer suggested flushing the tank. Just seeing if anyone else had this issue and fixed it

If it was 'mechanic suggested' "to flush the tank" It might be fuel ...are the filters all clear?

Unplug the line going to the fuel filter coming directly from your tank. When was the last time you changed this filter as it may be a good time to do so. See how much fuel is coming from this line. It should be a steady strong flow. If not, blow a shot of compressed air into this line to clear debris from the internal stem filter in the tank.
If so, change out the fuel filter.
If not that, you may have an injector problem as a plugged or failed injector can cause this.
